The bailout bill failed the House earlier today. We have no idea whether or not it's better to have a fast crash by not supporting Congress' bailout bill, or whether it's better to have a slow crash by supporting the bill. What we do know and believe, however, is that we do not support any government move towards socialism, i.e., allowing the government to grow bigger and buy private companies. If that's what a government bailout means, then Congress should let the bill fail, and the American people will have to deal with the consequences of having had years of crooked, deceitful financial managers and government officials.
It should be meaningful to all Americans that this bill was being supported by Nancy
Pelosi and Harry Reid. Since the two of them are inept, incompetent, and imbecilic, there is a good chance that anything they introduce or support in Congress is also inept, incompetent, and imbecilic.
