Understanding the Constitution

If you want a better understanding of the Constitution, we highly recommend “The Making of America” by W. Cleon Skousen. He delves into the history leading up to the Constitution and also focuses on the Constitution itself. Skousen analyses the text of the Constitution comparing it with statements made by the founding fathers. This book is definitely a must read. When we first read this book, we discovered just how far the United States of America had strayed from the foundation upon which it was built. Thus began our passion for politics.

On a nonpolitical note, we also have a passion for the proper use of the English language. The link below will take you to an article that will make you laugh as well as shake your head in disbelief.

Along those same lines, we took this picture of a sign hanging on a restaurant in Green Valley.

Heavy sigh. It looks as if the sign proofreader needs to brush up on his spelling skills.
