Government Gems

(Reuters) – FedEx Corp is threatening to cancel the purchase of billions of dollars worth of new Boeing Co cargo planes if Congress passes a law that would make it easier for unions to organize at the package-delivery company, the Wall Street Journal said.

Good for FedEx. By threatening to cancel their purchase of new cargo planes, they are informing the politicians who are pushing union-backed legislation referred to as Employee Free Choice Act that its passage would hurt our economy even more. If forced to kowtow to union demands, many companies, in order to stay in business, will need to lay off employees and will not be able to put as much capital back into the business. We hope that many more companies will stand up against this legislation.

While Congress has been busy chastising AIG for acts that were the fault of Congress, other items of legislation have been introduced under the radar. One such piece of legislation is for a Civilian Security Army. This is very scary. Please click on the link below to read more about this "Army." Be sure to read the last paragraph about Hitler's Brown Shirts. The idea of forcing young people to "volunteer" for this Civilian Security Army comes right out of the Nazi Germany playbook.
